Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle Moves Corporate Headquarters to Raleigh
DURHAM, N.C., July 12, 2006 Less than a year after a merger formed Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle, the rapid success and growth of the organization has created a need for more space. Beginning July 17, 2006, BBBS/Triangle management staff, along with the Wake County program staff will relocate to 1001 Navaho Drive, Suite GL-150 in Raleigh.
The new Corporate Headquarters location in Raleigh puts BBBS/Triangle in a better position to continue to climb towards the goal of serving more then 2,500 kids in need of mentoring by 2010. Located conveniently off the Wake Forest Rd. exit on Interstate 440, BBBS/Triangle’s newest location occupies a large ground floor suite with a private outside entrance that includes ample parking for all visitors.
With the move, BBBS/Triangle will serve its base of volunteers, “Littles, “ donors and partners from three locationsthe corporate office in Raleigh and two program offices located in Durham and Orange Counties. BBBS/Triangle will continue to maintain program staff at its current Durham and Orange County locations to ensure the continuation of quality matches between volunteers and children in need.
“Wake County is the Triangle’s biggest area of need, with nearly 12,000 at-risk kids,” said BBBS/Triangle board president John Stump. “By locating our headquarters near the largest at-risk population, we are now in a position to best-serve children in need throughout the Triangle.”
The three BBBS/Triangle office locations are listed below. Volunteers and others who wish to be a part of “Something Big” should feel free to contact us, or stop by.
